August 24, 2019 Fundraising.
We continue our mission by participation in mutual projects with SKY memorial foundation of USA and Nepal for helping talented children in need to get better education and improve their life.
ISMSF Fund is working on fundraising and transfer the collected money to the SKY Memorial Foundation of USA and Nepal, which are used to provide those children with help and scholarships.
This year we are going to commemorate this day by achieving our goal to fundraise $1,000.

Winners Received last year Irina Shekhets Best Student Award.
Recently the Special Award Ceremony took place in SKY home of Shikharpur.
16 winners were awarded with Irina Shekhets Best Student Award from 2018 fundraising.

Irina's Memorial Library new important role The old Shikarpur school building was damaged during the big earthquake; therefore the buildings of SKY school and Irina’s Library are turned into main classrooms for students. The new school building is designed as per the modern earthquake resistant method and will be built from solid concrete (see the current building status here ). The SKY Foundation together with ISMSF continues the vital support of the local communities

Zero Project Conference 2018 Dorji Tsering SHERPA, SKY Founder is invited to Zero Project Conference 2018, that will take place in the United Nations Office/Vienna International Centre in February 2018, Austria. The Zero Project supports decision-makers and opinion leaders in their efforts to implement the Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) worldwide. This year 371 innovative solutions concerning Accessibility were nominated by the Zero Project’s network of experts from around the world. Out of these, over 70 Innovative Practices and Policies will be selected as the most outstanding and are to be presented at the conference. We will inform you about the conference results after Dorji returning.

BRIEF DETAILS OF WORK ACCOMPLISHED IN THE YEAR 2017. It is a great pleasure to inform that SKY have very successfully completed 7 years of togetherness of families from US, Japan and Nepal. ISMSF is proud to be a partner of SKY in its invaluable efforts, Together we have made hundreds of families happy and cheerful with our little touching initiatives in their lives. In memory of Irina, Sarah, Yoki, Kendra and other victims of that tragic flight ISMSF is going to concentrate on operating with SKY foundation to help people in need. Irina always helped people and we are glad to continue this tradition together with SKY. One of our priority projects is construction of new pre-primary school building for 5-6 year old children who otherwise are unable to attend any classes (the closest school is in 2-hours away from their village). This building will be an addition to the new school and Irina Shekhets Memorial Library in Shirkarpur village that was built by SKY and ISMSF in previous years. Here you can see the new school location and local villagers, who are looking forward to have first pre-primary classes for their children. The village of Shirkarpur experienced some structural damages during the earthquake, but fortunately Irina's Library has survived.

Severe earthquake struck near the city of Kathmandu in central Nepal on April 25, 2015. About 9,000 people were killed, many thousands more were injured, and more than 600,000 structures in Kathmandu and other nearby towns were either damaged or destroyed.

ZUMBATHON-2 was as successful as the first one!
Second Zumbathon took place last Sunday, October 23.
It helped to reach the goal: after this event it became possible to set the first Scholarship award for year 2012.
The Scholarship Application and selection criteria will be published on this site by the end of this year.
Irina would be proud!
Memorial Scholarship Fund together with Fair Lawn ambulance will continue these kind of events.

ZUMBATHON-2 Final Announcement
Today we are glad to announce that Zumbathon-2 is scheduled for Sunday,
October 23rd, 2011, 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM (please be aware that the date has been changed since our last announcement).
We are looking forward to see you and as many friends as you can bring along - for a fun, exciting Zumba fitness dance party.

Irina's Life and Times Memorial Camp
The 2011 Irina's Life and Times Memorial Camping event took place in the "Orfey" resort on weekend of September 30th.
There were 50 attendees from all generations - Irina's friends, her family and family friends.
It was a great time to remember Irina, see her pictures and videos that keep memory of the unique moments of her impressive life.

2011 Memorial Camp
Almost a year has passed, and now we're going to meet again to remember and
celebrate Irisha's Life and Times...
The upcoming Irina's Memorial Camping is set for weekend of Sept. 30th - Oct. 2nd, 2011.
The main event is planned for Saturday afternoon and night.
We already have commitment from the ORFEY resort (same cabins we were last year)

Zumbathon event was a great success.
All 24 attendees had fun. Irina would be proud of them.
Some lucky dancers returned home with nice ruffle prizes.
Fair Lawn ambulance and ISMSF (Memorial Scholarship Fund)
agreed that events like this should be repeated.

Camping Trip To Celebrate Life And Times of Irina Shekhets.

We are getting together for one of Irina's favorite activities - camping.
There will be great food, great people and great music.
The event will take place on Friday October 15th and Saturday October 16th (main night).
